Supervised Access Services

Supervised Access Services provides a supportive environment to assist individuals involved in custody and access disputes, to visit with their children. Children and their non-custodial parent or other family members can utilize a safe, neutral and child-focused setting where visits and exchanges can take place under the supervision of trained staff and volunteers.

Visit sites are located in Belleville, Picton and Bancroft. Any individual or family member wishing assistance is encouraged to call. Voluntary referrals are only appropriate when the parties consent to the service. Referrals are also received from the Courts, lawyers representing the parents or the children's lawyers. All referrals are accepted on a first come first served basis. If space is not available, families are placed on a waiting list. All visits and exchanges and initial interviews are prearranged by the service.

There is a nominal fee per supervised visit and/or full exchange service. For a fee we can provide the court or lawyers with reports of factual observations about the participant's use of the service.

Services are offered in the counties of Hastings and Prince Edward.

Supervised Access receives funding from the Ministry of the Attorney General.
